For over 200 years, Americans have participated in a presidential election system that most have never truly questioned—but deep down, many have felt something was off. Why are we always choosing between the lesser of two evils? Why do two private political parties—neither named in the Constitution—control who we can vote for?
It hasn’t made sense. Until now.
MIMS stands for Making It Make Sense—the cultural and civic engine of the AUAP (Americans for an Unaffiliated President). The MIMS Movement exists to confront the silent constitutional crisis we’ve all lived through: the hijacking of the presidency by political parties never authorized to have that power.
Our Founders never intended for private organizations to monopolize the highest office in the land. The Constitution doesn't mention parties—not once. Yet today, two entrenched political machines filter, fund, and force-feed candidates to the American people—shaping not just our options, but our very democracy.
Expose the unconstitutional role of political parties in the presidential selection process.
Educate the public on the original intent of the Constitution—before the parties took over.
Empower voters to demand a return to genuine choice through nonpartisan presidential leadership.
Envision a future where the presidency belongs to the people, not to parties.
We are not against parties—we are against monopoly. Our mission is simple: restore constitutional logic to the process of choosing our President. This isn’t about reform—it’s about repair.
If you've ever said, “This system doesn’t make sense,” you were right.
Let’s make it make sense—together.
